Our Practice

The best people in Elkhart area come here.

We have three wonderful doctors here at Natural Health Family Chiropractic and we are privileged to serve thousands of patients each year.  I always say, “The best people in the Elkhart area come here”.  Our clinic specializes in personalized Chiropractic care and also provides Wellness options such as exercise, nutrition, and drug free health solutions for people seeking a safe and natural approach to life.  Our clinic was started by Dr. Mark Lindholm in 1993, so he has over 20 years of service to the Elkhart community.  Our other excellent Chiropractors are Dr. Joshua Martens, and Dr. Ryan Hartman.

I’m sure your have heard the phrase, “The Mind Body Connection”, but did you know that the mind body connection is at the core of what Chiropractic does best? Chiropractic adjustments optimize the connection between the mind and the body through a spine and nervous system that is free of interference. This vital connection of the nervous system not only controls your entire body, it allows you to adapt to the daily stresses we all encounter. Most people think of seeing a Chiropractor for back pain, neck pain or head-aches and it is great at helping with those things, but it is so much more.

Take the time to have a Chiropractic exam for you and your family today.

Wishing you Health and Happiness,

Dr. Mark Lindholm

Dr. Mark A. Lindholm

Dr. Lindholm graduated Magna Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Prior to Palmer College, he completed his undergraduate work at Illinois Benedictine University.  He is a member of the International Chiropractic Association and the International Chiropractic Association of Indiana. He has over 25 years of experience helping patients enjoy healthier and happier lives through Chiropractic.  He is certified in many Chiropractic adjusting techniques including drop piece adjusting for those that don’t like the noise that sometimes occurs during an adjustment, gentle low force techniques for the delicate spines of newborns and the elderly, and Cox Flexion Distraction for those with disc herniations or arthritis. Dr. Lindholm also has extensive experience in the clinical application of nutritional, exercise, and lifestyle approaches for optimal health and healthy aging.

Dr. Joshua D. Martens

Dr. Martens graduated from Parker Chiropractic College in Dallas, TX where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He then went on to achieve a post-doctorate degree in Chiropractic Neurology. Prior to attending Chiropractic College, he graduated from the University of Colorado with a bachelors degree in Biology. He and Dr. Hartman are the area’s only Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologists. He is a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Neurology Board. A Chiropractic Neurologist serves in the same consulting manner as a medical neurologist. The difference is that the therapies or applications of a chiropractic neurologist do not include drugs or surgery. Dr. Martens has experience treating patients with severely debilitating neurological conditions (traumatic brain injuries, seizure disorders, Parkinson’s), patients in the initial stages of neurological disease (pre-Parkinsonian syndromes), as well as patients with minor neurological disorders (ADD, ADHD, motion sickness). Dr. Martens serves in the treatment of typical Chiropractic patients as well as those with neurological problems.

Dr. Ryan D. Hartman

Dr. Hartman graduated from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX earning his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree and Bachelor Degrees in Anatomy and Health and Wellness. He graduated suma cum laude and was the valedictorian of his class. While enrolled in chiropractic school, Dr. Hartman additionally became an active student  in the Neurology Diplomate program through Carrick Institute.  He holds a post-doctorate degree in Chiropractic Neurology through the American Chiropractic Neurology Board. He and Dr. Martens are currently the only Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologists in Northern Indiana. He also completed classes toward a certification in pediatric chiropractic care. He is a firm believer that chiropractic is vital during all stages of life, especially during infancy and early developmental years.  He uses this training, along with his neurology background, to aid in the improvement of a gamut of conditions. Dr. Hartman has lived the majority of his life in Elkhart, Indiana. He graduated from Elkhart Baptist Christian School and prior to entering the doctorate program at Parker, completed his prerequisite requirements at Southwestern Michigan College in Dowagiac, MI. He is glad to be back home and practicing in Elkhart, near by his family and close friends. Dr. Hartman’s special hometown connection with the Michiana area fuels his desire to bring health education and wellness care to the people of Elkhart and the surrounding community.
